Ondo Guber: SDP Candidate Akingboye Denies Dismantling Campaign For Aiyedatiwa

Governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party, in Ondo state, Otunba Bamidele Akingboye, has denied collapsing his campaign structure for governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa ahead of the November 16 election.

A statement issued by the Director of Media and Publicity, Akingboye campaign Organisation, Femi Arowolo, described the report as baseless and spurious.

Arowolo said that “The campaign office of Otunba Bamidele Akingboye (OBA), the Social Democratic Party’s (SDP) gubernatorial candidate for Ondo State, alongside his running mate, Erelu Gbemisola Susan Alabi categorically refutes the baseless rumors and fabricated reports circulating about our candidates’ alleged support for other parties’ nominees.

“We condemn in the strongest terms the recent spurious claim, suggesting that the SDP has collapsed its structure in favor of the APC.

“This blatant falsehood, attributed to political non-entities unaffiliated with our party, underscores the desperate measures our opponents are resorting to in the face of OBA’s and Erelu Alabi’s surging popularity.

” It has come to our attention that both the PDP and APC are propagating claims that OBA is working to collapse our structure for their benefit.

“We authoritatively state that these assertions are mere propaganda and mischief-making on their part, transparently seeking cheap popularity.

” The SDP and our formidable gubernatorial ticket of OBA and Erelu Alabi are not only adequately prepared but poised to win the upcoming elections.

“By the grace of God, we will decisively defeat both the APC and PDP at the polls.

“It is a testament to the widespread appeal of Otunba Bamidele Akingboye and Erelu Gbemisola Susan Alabi that our opponents have resorted to such tactics.

“These maneuvers reveal the panic gripping them as they witness the mass exodus of their members to the SDP, united in their resolve to elect OBA and Erelu Alabi as Ondo State’s next governor and deputy governor.

“We call on Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to cease these undignified attempts at propaganda and instead focus on addressing his administration’s glaring failures since assuming office.

“The people of Ondo State deserve better than cheap political theatrics.

“Our gubernatorial ticket, featuring Otunba Akingboye’s business acumen and Erelu Alabi’s expertise, represents a powerful combination untainted by the corruption of political office.

” Their shared vision for Ondo State’s renaissance remains uncompromised and laser-focused.

“We urge our supporters to disregard these desperate fabrications and prepare for the upcoming SDP mega rally.

“This event will herald the commencement of our strategic, issues-based campaign, designed to liberate Ondo State from the grip of ineffective governance and usher in the progressive leadership of Otunba Bamidele Akingboye and Erelu Gbemisola Susan Alabi.

“OBA and Erelu Alabi hereby enjoin all progressive-minded individuals and the good people of Ondo State to join the SDP and unite with them on this transformative journey to Alagbaka.

” Together, we will usher in a new era of development and prosperity for Ondo State.

“The time for real change in Ondo State is now. OBA and Erelu Alabi stand ready to deliver it.
