Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen has praised Galatasaray’s impressive victory over Eyupspor.

Okan Buruk’s team defeated their opponents 5-1 on Sunday at the Recep Tayyip Erdogan Stadium.

Osimhen had one goal and one assist in the win.

Galatasaray maintained their five-point lead over Istanbul rivals Fenerbahçe following the win.

The holders top the standings with 80 points from 31 matches.

“I’m very happy because we won. Winning this match was very important. We needed more points. I’m very happy to have contributed one goal and one assist.

“I’m also happy for Morata,” he was quoted by SPOR.

“These points are very important on the path to the championship. As Galatasaray, we are focused on ourselves and approach each match separately. We will look forward to the next match.”

Galatasaray are looking to win the title for the third consecutive season.

They are also in the final of the Turkish Cup where they will face Trabzonspor.
