The gun State Police Command on Tuesday said it had launched a manhunt for the accomplices of the suspended Olorile of Orile-Ifo, Abdulsemiu Ogunjobi, who is facing trial for assaulting a 73-year-old chief, Areola Abraham.

The police also disclosed that Ogunjobi was arraigned before a magistrate court sitting in the Ifo area of the state on three counts bordering on conspiracy, assault and conduct likely to cause a breach of peace.

The Nigeria Police Force spokesperson, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, confirmed this in a statement on Tuesday.

He said, “The Kabiyesi Abdulsemiu Ogunjobi, who assaulted one elderly man in a viral video, in If Ogun State, has been charged to court today February 4, 2025, on three counts of conspiracy, assault and conduct likely to cause a breach of peace.

“He was granted bail while the case was adjourned to 06/03/2025.”

The FPRO vowed that justice would be served on the matter.

“The police will continue to uphold the rule of law and the core values of the noble profession,” Adejobi
