Nigerian afrobeat star, Rema has received a royal plaque from the Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II.
The Special gift from the Benin Monarchy was presented by Princess Oghogho Ewuare to Rema.
This is indeed an honor for any Edo man and like he said in his song Benin boys … He just got his medal from our great Oba Of Benin. Oba GHATO KPERE, Iseeeeee.
Earlier, Rema joined the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, on Wednesday, for the groundbreaking ceremony of Edo Arena.
The governor announced that the 6,000-capacity arena would be called Rema Dome in honour of the singer.
Rema, born Divine Ikubor, is from Benin City and has been a proud ambassador of Edo State, promoting the state and legacy of the ancient Benin empire in his music and concerts.
