Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Sunday visited the residence of former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, in Abuja to condole with him passage of his mother, Mrs. Florence Saraki, who died on June 18 at the age of 89.

Other dignitaries who visited Saraki are former Delta State Governor, Chief James Onanefe Ibori, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, former governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi, former governor of Cross Rivers State, Donald Duke and non-executive chairman of Access Holdings, Aigboje Aig-Imokhuede.

In a post on his official Facebook page, Sanwo-Olu said the late matriarch of the Saraki dynasty left behind a legacy of kindness that will be remembered by many.

He wrote “Today, I visited the home of Senator Bukola Saraki in Abuja to personally offer my condolences on the passing of his mother, Chief Mrs. Florence Morenike Saraki.

“She peacefully departed this world on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and grace that will be remembered by many.”

Also writing on his Facebook page, Fayemi wrote “I paid a visit to the former Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, to offer my condolences on the passing of his mother, Mrs. Florence Morenike Saraki. Former Delta State Governor, Chief James Ibori, was also present”.
