Sexual Allegations: Nigerian Senate Is Being Mismanaged By Akpabio – Ologbondiyan

Immediate past National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kola Ologbondiyan has expressed concern that the 10th Senate is being mismanaged by the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.

Speaking on the six months suspension slammed on Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, Ologbondiyan said for the first time in Nigeria’s history, two senators have been suspended by the senate under Akpabio’s leadership in less than two years.

“My perspective on this issue which I have expressed in the public is that the Senate has been mismanaged under the leadership of the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio. If you look at it now, it’s been historic that within the space of less than two years of the Senate, two senators, Abdul Ningi and Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan have gone on suspension”.

“When you look at it, it shows clearly that, one, the senate and I believe so, has not been properly managed and two, there is an attempt to clamp down on the strong voices in the senate, perhaps in line with the promise that everybody will come back in 2027”.

When asked who made the promise, Ologbondiyan replied “ The president of the country made the promise when he went to present the budget”.
