Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan (Kogi Central) has denied that she apologised to the Senate over the issue that resulted in her six-month suspension.
Akpoti-Uduaghan issued a statement on Monday calling the claims “false and misleading,” and stating that she stands by her comments and conduct.
The senator, who was suspended following a heated encounter with Senate leadership, said she is still devoted to protecting her citizens’ rights and would not be frightened into submission.
She also claimed that certain people were coordinating a plot to silence her, advising Nigerians to be wary of disinformation.
Akpoti-Uduaghan highlighted that any formal announcements from her would only come through certified channels.
“This is not just about me; it is about the integrity of our democracy. I will not be intimidated or forced into submission through false narratives,” she stated.
