The Transmission Company of Nigeria has scheduled a five-hour preventive maintenance exercise at its Suleja 330/132/33kV transmission substation on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 10am to 3 pm.

This operation aims to replace a circuit breaker to enhance the substation’s efficiency and reliability.

This was contained in a press statement issued by the company through its official X handle on Friday.

During this period, bulk power supply to the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company will be temporarily interrupted.

Consequently, electricity distribution to AEDC customers in areas serviced through the Suleja Substation, including Gwagwalada, Abaji, and Kwali will be affected.

TCN’s General Manager of Public Affairs, Ndidi Mbah, emphasised that maintenance is essential for ensuring optimal performance of the transmission network.

Mbah stated, “The five-hour exercise aims to replace a circuit breaker, affecting bulk power supply through the Substation to AEDC.”

She further assured customers that power supply would resume promptly after the maintenance is completed..

TCN appeals for understanding from the affected communities and regrets any inconvenience caused by this necessary maintenance work.

The company reiterates its commitment to providing a more stable and reliable electricity supply across the nation.
