The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) says President Bola Tinubu cannot deliver happiness to all Nigerians because the people will always ask for more.
The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka said while appearing as a guest on Politics Today, a programme on Channels Television.
When asked by the anchor if he feels the North are happy with the governance style of President Tinubu, especially in relation to his appointments, Morka said like Oliver Twist, Nigerians will always ask for more no matter how the president tries his best to make them happy.
“In politics, people are dealing with interests, all kinds of aggregation of their interests. So, if people or anyone feels their interests is not sufficiently captured or respected, they have a right to express themselves. Expressing themselves does not mean they are not happy”.
“Oliver Twist is Oliver Twist. People will ask for more and it is a legitimate thing to ask for more. If you are in politics and you represent your constituency, you want the best for your constituency”.
“So, I don’t think it is about people being happy or unhappy. The party members understand that no system of government can deliver happiness to everybody. Because even when you get what you are looking for, there is always more to ask for”.
