President Bola Tinubu is overseeing the official commencement of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road project at its starting point in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The ambitious 700-kilometer road, spanning eight states and concluding in Calabar, Cross River State, aims to stimulate economic growth across the regions it traverses.

Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, joined President Tinubu and other dignitaries at the project site.

In attendance at the Coastal Road flag-off ceremony were governors, deputy governors, Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, ministers, members of the National Assembly, traditional rulers, and various other dignitaries, many of whom had also participated in the commissioning of the reconstructed Apapa-Oworonshoki-Ojota Expressway and the Rehabilitated Third Mainland Bridge earlier.

During the commissioning of the Apapa-Oworonshoki-Ojota Expressway and the Third Mainland Bridge, President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, along with Deputy Speaker Ben Kalu, Governor Jide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, represented by Deputy Governor Femi Amzat, and other state governors including Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara, Hope Uzodinman of Imo, Mai Mala Buni, Dikko Rada of Katsina, and Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto of Sokoto were present.

Also in attendance were governors Dapo Abiodun of Ogun and Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo, as well as Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy Wale Edun, Minister of Budget and Economic Planning Atiku Bagudu, Minister for Special Duties Zephaniah Jisalo, Chairman of Dangote Group Aliko Dangote, members of the National Assembly, members of the Lagos State House of Assembly, members of the Lagos State Executive Council, traditional rulers, and other esteemed guests.
