One of Nigeria’s oldest monarchs, Oba (Dr) Frederick Adegunle Aroloye, Arubiefin IV, the Owa of Idanre Kingdom, has passed away at the age of 102.
The Lisa of Idanre land, High Chief Christopher Oluwole Akindolire, confirmed the monarch’s death on Wednesday morning.
Oba Aroloye began his reign in 1976. Traditional rites are currently being organized at the palace.
