Represented by the wife of the Vice President, Mrs Nana Shettima, the president’s wife said 1000 women from each state and the Federal Capital Territory would get a N50,000 recapitalisation grant from the RHI economic empowerment programme.

“This programme will be launched on the 22nd of August simultaneously across the country.”

She said the programme was designed to provide support to the underprivileged in line with the resolve of President Tinubu to leave no one behind in ensuring food security and sufficiency in the country.

While urging the beneficiaries to make use of the items, Senator Tinubu added that under the programme, a truckload of assorted food items is donated for onward distribution to the targeted groups in the state.

Earlier in his address, the state governor, Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia, appreciated the president’s wife for her support to Benue women, especially, those living with disabilities and vulnerable people.

The governor who was represented by his deputy, Sam Ode, promised that his administration would complement the efforts of the president’s wife by augmenting the distribution of the items to the most vulnerable people in the state.
