A former Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro says the only time the Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had peace was when Chief Olabode George was in prison.
In a trending video sighted by TheScrutiny, Obanikoro who granted an interview to TVC also said George has never won his polling unit for the party since 1999.
Obanikoro who granted the interview after losing the governorship primaries to Jimi Agbaje also accused George of being undemocratic and using thugs to destabilise the peace in the party and the state.
“Let me say this, because it is important for the good people of Lagos State to know and even our party members. The only time that we had some semblance of peace in PDP was when Bode George was in prison. That was the only time we had some semblance of peace in PDP. Before he was in prison and after coming out, it has been crisis galore”.
“He always creates crisis because he is not democratic in any shape or form. He has no capacity to be democratic. His tendency is so autocratic and if you don’t agree with him, he takes you as an enemy. When he makes you an enemy, he will do everything possible to bring you down. I refuse to bow to him”.
“He is in his 70s. He is not old enough to be my father. The truth of the matter is that he was governor when he was in his 40s. I am in my 50s and yet this man is still seeing me as a child that can be dictated to. If you want to dictate, dictate in your house”.
“This is a man who has never won his polling unit for the party since 1999. The only thing that he has capacity to do is to encourage thugs to attack people”.
