2025 AFCON Qualifier: Rwanda Holds Nigeria In Kigali

The Super Eagles on Tuesday played out a goalless draw in their 2025 AFCON qualifying match against Rwanda.

The draw comes after the Eguavoen-led side thrashed Benin Republic 3-0 on Saturday in Uyo, bringing their points tally in the group to four points.

Rwanda goalkeeper blocked Ademola Lookman earlier in the game.

Lookman thought he had given Nigeria the lead by nodding the ball but the referee controversially ruled out the goal for no justifiable reasons.
Second half entrant Victor Osimhen created lots of problems for Rwanda defence.

As the deadlock couldn’t be broken, both side settled for a point. Nigeria lead the group with four points.
