Poco Lee Has Not Been Convicted Of Any Offence – Management

The management of Nigerian dancer and singer, Poco Lee, has addressed the sexual assault allegation involving the entertainer in the United Kingdom, urging the public to allow the legal process to run its course.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, August 25, the management confirmed that the matter is currently before a UK court and cautioned against presenting the allegation as an established fact.

The team stressed that Poco Lee, whose real name is Iweh Pascal Odinaka, has not been convicted of any offence.

“Allegations are not evidence of guilt, and no conclusions should be drawn until the matter has been heard and determined through the appropriate legal process,” the statement said.

The management also responded to reports circulating online alleging that the incident involved drink-spiking, saying the claim does not form part of the allegations currently before the court.

“We ask the public and media to desist from introducing details that are not part of the actual case, as doing so only fuels misinformation and causes unfair prejudice to all parties involved,” the statement added.

Reports of Poco Lee’s arrest in the UK emerged on August 19, with reports linking his detention to a sexual assault allegation.

Details about the alleged victim and circumstances surrounding the case were not publicly established by British authorities at the time.

Separately, Texas-based Nigerian rapper Ms Jorji made allegations against Poco Lee in videos shared online.

She claimed that he attempted to sexually assault her and her girlfriend about two years ago during a visit to his home in Dallas.

The allegations by Ms Jorji have not been independently established by a court or law enforcement agency, while no connection has been established between her claims and the ongoing UK case.

Poco Lee rose to prominence after featuring in Zlatan Ibile’s “Zanku (Legwork)” music video in 2018 and has since built a profile as one of Nigeria’s leading dancers and entertainers.

He has worked with several major Nigerian artistes, including Davido, Burna Boy, Olamide and Naira Marley.

His management said any further information concerning the UK case would be released through official channels, while appealing to the public to exercise patience and restraint as the legal proceedings continue.
