The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, (SGF), Senator George Akume on Monday hailed the appointment of Omoba Tunde Ajibulu mni as the Deputy Executive Secretary (Services) of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC).
Akume, who stated this during a courtesy visit by Ajibulu to his office in Abuja said his appointment was based on merit, especially given his immense contributions to youth education and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
He also urged the UBEC Board, led by the Executive Secretary, Aisha Garba to continue to drive President Bola Tinubu’s agenda for education in the country, in ensuring that all children have access to good, qualitative education.
While thanking the SGF, Ajibulu pledged to live up to the confidence reposed in him by President Tinubu and the Honourable Minister of Education,Dr Tunji Alausa.
He also promised to contribute his quota to lift Basic Education in Nigeria to the optimum.
