Chuks Akunna, a former Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to former Anambra state governor, Dr. Chris Ngige has hailed former Delta State Governor, Chief James Onanefe Ibori for his consistency in mourning the death of Chief Aminasoari โKallaโ Dikibo.
Dikibo, then National Vice-Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the South-South zone, was assassinated by unknown gunmen at Ndokwa in Delta State on February 7, 2004. He was on his way to Asaba, the state capital, in company of his driver and police orderly, to attend a meeting of the South-South governors, speakers and leaders of the zone forum when he ran into the killers at about 7.30p.m.
21 years after, Ibori has been consistent in eulogising the enduring qualities of the late Aminisabo of Okrika on the anniversary of his passage.
Commenting on Iboriโs latest statement in honour of the late Dikibo, Akunna wrote โGod bless us with friends like Chief James Onanefe Ibori, whoโll remain true friends in life and in death. Itโs been 21 long years since my โdad โ Dede Ukwu, was killed by persons who thought he stood in their way. Big mistake! Rest on, Dede Ukwu. God bless you foreverโ.
Also commenting, Sholly@Iginuwa wrote โ Everyone who value relationships deserves an โIboriโ for a friend. Genuine friendship even in death. May the soul of the departed rest in peaceโ.
