Prince Kassim Afegbua, a former Commissioner for Information in Edo state on Tuesday said immediate past governor of Edo state, Godwin Obaseki has abandoned Asue Ighodalo, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to his fate at the ongoing Edo State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal. The Supreme Court has dismissed Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s appeal challenging the leadership of the Rivers State House of Assembly, led by Martin Amaewhule. A five-judge panel, chaired by Justice Uwani Abba-Aji, upheld Amaewhule’s position. The court also ordered Fubara to pay two million naira in costs to the Assembly and Amaewhule.
