Barely 24 hours after the Osun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal displayed two petitions challenging the reelection victory of Governor Ademola Adeleke, the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday withdrew its suit.
The APC and Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) challenged the outcome of the election in suit number EPT/OS/GOV/01/2026 and EPT/OS/GOV/02/2026, filed on Saturday respectively.
The APC suit was filed by its counsel, Barr Oluseyi Oyagbile and submitted at the Tribunal in company of the deputy governorship candidate of the party, Engr Kayode Adereti who signed on behalf of Bola Oyebamiji and other party leaders.
Meanwhile, an acclaimed APC legal team led by Abiodun Layonu, SAN denounced the petition, insisting that the party is not challenging the outcome of the election.
