The Ebonyi State Government has confirmed the death of ten persons from a fresh cholera outbreak in the state. The deaths, according to the state Commissioner for Health, Moses Ekuma, were recorded in Ndibokote Village in Ezza-Inyimagu, Agbaja Autonomous Community,  Izzi Local Government Area.  Ekuma, speaking to The Nation on Thursday, revealed that over 20 other persons from the area have been hospitalised for suspected cholera infection. Three hundred out-of-school children in the North West will be back to school, courtesy of an European Union (EU)-funded consortium, led by Plan International Nigeria, PI; Save the Children International, SCI, and Dispute Resolution and Development Initiative, DRDI. The three states to benefit form this plan include lKano, Jigawa and Sokoto. The consortium wants to achieve this through the implementation of an Accelerated Basic Education Program, ABEP, a non formal form of education. The presidency has confirmed that a cabinet reshufflement is to be undertaken anytime soon by President Bola Tinubu. The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, announced this to State House correspondents on Wednesday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. Marcellus Williams, who was convicted of murder 21 years ago, has been executed in the Midwestern state of Missouri despite concerns raised over the integrity of the case. The United States Supreme Court, the last body that could have overturned Williams’s death sentence, declined to intervene in the case on Tuesday. Nollywood actor and human rights advocate, Yomi Fabiyi, is set to lead a peaceful protest to demand justice for the late Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, aka MohBad. Idris Okuneye, Nigerian popular cross dresser, mainly known as Bobrisky, has denied a bribery allegation levelled against him by a social media influencer, Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan. In a viral audio released by VeryDarkMan, Bobrisky alleged that some unnamed Economic and Financial Crimes Commission operatives collected N15 million from him to drop money laundering charges against him.
