The Department of State Service (DSS) has confirm freeing about six persons they detained after they participated in the recent protest over hunger and hardship in the country. According to security sources, who spoke to Vanguard, the six persons were freed last Thursday in Kaduna on the orders of the Director General of the DSS, Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi. Voters across the 18 local government areas of Edo State turned out en masse on Saturday to elect a new governor to succeed Godwin Obaseki. Checks at the time of this report revealed that 76.26 percent of the results had been uploaded. This figure represents the results from 3,329 polling units out of 4,519 units across the state.
