According to a report, the Federal Government, in three months, spent approximately N701m to fund the foreign trips of the country’s First Lady, Remi Tinubu, to five countries. This is according to a report in Saturday PUNCH. Recall that in 2023, the Federal Government allocated N1.5bn for the procurement of vehicles for the Office of the First Lady. The Lagos State Government has increased boarding fees in all secondary schools across the state from N35,000 to N100,000 per term. The Federal Government on Friday disclosed that the supply of petrol from Dangote Refinery will commence today after both parties reached an agreement on pricing and supply. NNPC will remain as the sole off-taker of petrol from the refinery with other marketers getting the product from the national oil company. The Federal Government has said that the devastating Maiduguri flooding was not caused by overflow of Alau Dam, but by the overflow of the Ngadda River.
