The Labour Party in Nigeria has called on the workers’ unions to re-negotiate with the government on a new minimum wage rather than embarking on industrial action. Ten people in Antsa community have been injured following an attack by suspected herdsmen on Monday morning. Antsa community is located on the North Bank – J.S. Tarka University of Agriculture, Makurdi, busy road in Benue state. The road also provides access for those traveling to Gbajimba in Guma Local Government Area. Four traders have reportedly lost their lives due to severe rainstorms accompanied by strong winds at the IBB Square in Bauchi state, which hosted the recently concluded North East Trade Fair. The Kogi State Government has announced the rescue of the remaining eight kidnapped students of Confluence University of Science and Technology, Osara (CUSTECH) Bringing the numbers of rescued students to 30.
