Ali Ndume, the senator representing Borno South at the Red Chamber of the National Assembly, has appealed to the upper chamber to support the widow of late Ifeanyi Ubah to replace her husband as the senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has come under severe criticism from the Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and experts who have opposed his plans to borrow an additional N1.767 trillion. The Edo State House of Assembly has approved Governor Monday Okpebholo’s request to appoint 20 special advisers to enhance the effective administration of the state. This approval followed a letter submitted by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Musa Ikhilor, seeking the House’s consent for these appointments. The Police Service Commission (PSC) on Tuesday approved the appointment of Assistant Inspector- General of Police (AIG) Ari Mohammed Ali as Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) to replace DIG Ade Ayuba who has retired from service.
