Nigeria has about 40.2 million agricultural households, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has said. This was made known at the unveiling of the National Agricultural Sample Census(NASC) 2022 in Abuja on Monday. The Assistant General Secretary of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Chris Onyeka, says many state governors are flouting the Minimum Wage Act because they do not believe in sanctity of the law. The police in River State have warned against hijacking a planned protest by the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees following the closure of the 23 local government council secretariats in the state.
