Former Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State government should determine what they can pay as minimum wage. Fayemi stated this in an interview of Channels Television’s Politics Today on Friday. The Federal Government and labour unions have been at the negotiation table over a new minimum wage for months. President Bola Tinubu has appointed renowned financial expert, Mr. Ayodeji Gbeleyi, as the new Director-General of the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE). Gbeleyi’s appointment followed the removal of Mamman Ahmadu by President Tinubu for purposes of reorganising the public procurement systems in the country.
