Fresh protests broke out in Jos, the Plateau State capital, on Monday over the persistent killings of indigenous residents by suspected Fulani militants. The demonstrations, which were led by Christian leaders including Plateau chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Bauchi State deputy governor, Auwal Jatau, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, engaged themselves in a heated altercation that degenerated into fisticuffs on Friday.
