President Tinubu has officially approved a minimum wage of N70,000 for Nigerian workers and committed to reviewing the national minimum wage law every three years. During a meeting with leaders from the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Tinubu also pledged to support the private sector and state governments in implementing this wage. An Indian Instagram influencer died after falling into a 300-foot gorge while shooting a video at the Kumbhe waterfall in the western state of Maharashtra. Aanvi Kamdar, 26, on a trip with seven friends, fell into the gorge near Raigad at around 10.30am on 16 July, police said. A Florida man has been arrested for making threats against US President Joe Biden, just days after an assassination attempt on his Republican rival Donald Trump. Jason Patrick Alday, 39, was arrested on Monday, the US Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Florida said. Alday, of Quincy, Florida, allegedly “engaged in sending threatening communications, making threats against President Joe Biden and other federal officials,” the office said in an announcement Wednesday. The Lagos State Government, yesterday, said it has not re-introduced the monthly environmental sanitation and will not commence restriction of movement by July.
