Five men standing trial for the abduction and murder of a Fulani herder, Ibrahim Adamu, who until his death was selling cows at Owode-Ede, Osun State, were on Tuesday sentenced to death by hanging by an Osun State High Court. After Adamu’s abduction, he was said to have been moved into a secluded place in his Toyota Corolla car. The Edo State Government has issued a notice of retrieval to former Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu to return twenty two (22) vehicles belonging to the State Government. The notice was contained in a statement signed and released on July 2, 2024 by the State Commissioner for Communications and Orientation, Chris Nehikhare. Chris Nehikhare said the notice takes effect immediately and has a lifeline of seven (7) days.
