Three persons died on Thursday night during gunmen attack at security checkpoint in Isuofia, Aguata Local government area of Anambra state. The deceased, two hoodlums and a security operative, were killed during gunfire between security operatives and the hoodlums in the area. American rapper,  Chris Brown was arrested at a five-star hotel in the United Kingdom on Thursday for allegedly attacking a music producer with a bottle at a nightclub in 2023. The Department of State Services (DSS) has sued Prof. Pat Utomi over his alleged plan to establish what he called a shadow government in the country. The DSS, in a suit filed at the Federal High Court, Abuja, prayed the court to declare the move as an attack on the constitution. Lagos State Commissioner for Establishments and Training, Afolabi Ayantayo, has disclosed that 30% of civil servants who embarked on state-sponsored training programmes abroad failed to return after completing their programmes. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has confirmed that it recorded some technical errors that affected the credibility of the results of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, told journalists at a press conference in Abuja, on Wednesday, that the error affected candidates in some states, and plans are underway for a new arrangement for such candidates.
