The Federal Court of Appeal sitting in Akure, the Ondo State capital on Tuesday dismissed the sack of a former deputy speaker of the State House of Assembly, Mr Iroju Ogundeji, ordering the respondent to be reinstated. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abuja Zonal Directorate said it has secured the conviction and sentence of five internet fraudsters. A statement by the commission’s Head, Media & Publicity, Dele Oyewale on Tuesday, said the five convicts were jailed on Monday by Justice C.O. Agashieze of the Federal Capital Territory High Court on a one-count separate charge bordering on obtaining by pretence. The Branch Controller of the West Africa Examination Council in charge of Ogun State, Ayobami Suberu, has denied reports that the Ogun State Government is owing the examination body.
