Late elderstatesman and Afenifere leader, Pa Ayo Adebanjo, will be buried in his hometown, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, on May 3, 2025. Adebanjo died on Friday February 14 at the age of 96. The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described  the immediate-past governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai as an emergency activist and overrated ethnic national champion who thinks being in government is his birthright. Edo State Commissioner for Education, Dr. Paddy Iyamu has faulted the EdoBEST initiative launched by immediate past governor of the state, Godwin Obaseki saying the scheme failed to achieve the promise for which it was created.
