Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai has declared that those behind the incarceration of his former Chief of Staff, Bashir Saidu will pay for it before the 2027 elections. Saidu was released on Wednesday after spending 50 days in detention over alleged money laundering charges. Civil rights activist and co-convener of the Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) movement, Aisha Yesufu, has again, called out former president Goodluck Jonathan over his inactions and incompetence during the abduction of Chibok girls in 2014. Chairman of the Lagos State Local Government Service Commission, Kamal Bayewu says inspite of financial autonomy granted to them, local governments will still need collaboration with state governments if they want to succeed with people-oriented projects in their councils. Bayewu, a former two-term chairman of Ajeromi-Ifelodun LGA in Lagos state made the remarks during an interview on Lagos Television (LTV).
