Former Delta State Governor, Chief James Onanefe Ibori has announced the establishment of the Otemu Educational Foundation, aimed at transforming the educational landscape for underprivileged students in Delta state.

In a statement he personally signed and posted on his official social media pages, Ibori said the foundation will locate and sponsor brilliant students in Delta state who cannot afford to pay their school fees.

“It is with great pride and a profound sense of purpose that i introduce the Otemu Educational Foundation (OEF). This initiative was born from a deep-seated belief in the transformative power of education and a commitment to uplift the indigent, yet incredibly talented youth of Delta State, Nigeria”.

“The OEF is dedicated to transforming the educational landscape for underprivileged students in Delta State. We recognise the vital role education plays in breaking the cycle of poverty, and our foundation is committed to providing scholarships and resources to talented students who would otherwise lack the financial means to pursue their academic dreams”.

“By investing in these bright young minds, we are not only fostering individual growth but also empowering future leaders who will drive positive change in their communities and beyond”.

” We are in the process of developing a world-class system that will be digitally driven to enhance our pre-selection process and candidate profiling.  This will ensure that the chosen beneficiaries are worthy in both character and learning. A dedicated web portal will soon be launched to mark the beginning of our application season”.

” We believe that education is the cornerstone of progress and development. Our goal is to create an environment where every student, regardless of socio-economic background, has access to quality education and the resources needed to succeed.  With the support of our communities, partners and donors, we are confident that the Otemu Educational Foundation will make a significant impact, creating a brighter and more equitable future for all”.

“On this note, I humbly invite you to join us on this journey of empowerment and transformation. Together, we can make a lasting difference in the lives of promising young Deltans and pave way for a prosperous future. Thank you for your support and commitment to this noble cause”.
