The Presidency on Thursday said 20 million Nigerians have received cash alerts of N50,000 and N25,000 from the social register of the Federal Government.

Speaking on Channels Television, Abdullahi Tanko-Yakasai, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement (North-West) says President Bola Tinubu has done a lot to better the lives of Nigerians in the last one year.

He added that most of the Northern youths who participated in the #EndBadGovernance Protest in the North are Almajiris who are the products of bad leadership of past leaders.

“His Excellency President Bola Tinubu has rolled out a lot of programmes to support our teeming youths. We have about 11 programmes at the moment that people are benefiting from”.

“There is the social register where a lot of our youths are benefiting from. Just recently, I got to know that about 20 million Nigerians are collecting this conditional cash transfer. Some collected N50,000 while others collected N25,000”.

“Before it was 15 million people but now it has increased to over 19 million. Infact, I have figures to give you that we are pulling people in that social register. It started from December for three months, people have seen their alerts”.
