The United States First Lady, Melania Trump, has confirmed that the White House will reopen for public tours beginning on Tuesday, February 25, 2025.

In a statement issued by the White House on Wednesday, she expressed her excitement about welcoming visitors to the iconic landmark, noting the opportunity for people to learn about the history of the American presidency, the First Families who have lived there, and the nation’s rich history.

Melania highlighted that the White House is a unique symbol of the American government, offering an experience that cannot be found in other countries.

“The President and I are excited to reopen the White House to those interested in the extraordinary story of this iconic and beautiful landmark.

“There is much to learn about the American presidency, the First Families who have lived here, and our nation’s rich history from a firsthand experience at the White House.

“This opportunity is unique among nations around the globe—a tradition we are honoured to continue for the hundreds of thousands of visitors who come each year,” said the First Lady.

According to the statement, public tours will be available from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, as well as on Fridays and Saturdays, excluding federal holidays.

The tours, which are self-guided and typically last 45 minutes, must be requested through Members of Congress, and requests can be submitted up to three months in advance. Tours will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.
