We Will Deliver Abia Votes To Tinubu in 2027 – Kalu

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon Benjamin Kalu has boasted that the leadership of the party in the state will ensure President Bola Tinubu gets Abia votes in 2027.

Kalu stated this in Umuahia while unveiling the Renewed Hope Partners office in the state capital, dedicated to the advancement of the party in the state.

Kalu said the Renewed Hope office would serve as a hub for all the pro-President Tinubu’s groups to meet and strategize on how to plan for the re-election of the President, adding that the offices which would be spread across the southeast states were aimed at raising foot soldiers for the President ahead of the next general election.

The Reps deputy speaker said from the look of things, there was no doubt that Abia is an All Progressives Congress (APC) state, adding that this will be made manifest by the votes the party will garner in the 2027 election.

Kalu regretted that South East has been accused of not bringing large votes to the centre during elections, but assured with what Tinubu has been doing for the zone, that was going to change.

The Deputy Speaker who lamented that state governors have been taking accolades due to Mr. President, said the President has done enough to earn him re-election, stressing that the mission of the renewed hope was to make President Tinubu a household conversation in the region.

“APC is in charge of Abia politics. We came to prepare the ground for 2027 campaign. South East has been accused of not bringing large votes to the centre during elections and we want to change that scenario.

“We are going to give Tinubu Abia votes in 2027; the South East must align with Mr. President because we cannot move the nation forward without moving Abia and South East forward.”

Debunking insinuation in some quarters that President Tinubu has not done anything for the South East, Kalu
disclosed that the President has not failed the people of the Southeast.

Adducing reasons the Southeast should support the re-election of Tinubu in 2027, Kalu listed some of the achievements of the president to include economic reforms, reduced debt servicing, attraction of foreign direct investment, National Economic Growth Resurgence, Foreign Remittance Optic, CNG Transportation Revolution, and Infrastructure and Connectivity.

Also listed is the Eastern rail line project, establishment of South East Development Development Commission, Agriculture and Food Security, Student’s Loan Scheme, Release of Funds To Federal Universities, Consumer Credit Creation, Raising National Minimum Wage, Increased Gas Supply, Health Sector Reforms among other federal government’s interventions.
