Veteran journalist and former presidential aspirant, Dele Momodu says the ordeals of former Kaduna state governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, in the hands of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), a party he vigorously campaigned for and helped to win the last presidential election is unfortunate.
El-Rufai, who has been very critical of the Bola Tinubu administration and had last week alleged that there are attempts to arrest him due to the criticism of the government clocked 65 years today.
In a congratulatory post posted on his social media handles, Momodu, the publisher of Ovation magazine and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said if not for El-Rufai’s support for the APC, the election might have turned different.
He also urged El-Rufai to leave everything to Allah.
He wrote “My very dear Brother NASIR EL-RUFAI, happy birthday… My respect for your sharp intellect remains constant, even if I disagree with your political views sometimes. You’re a man of great passion and high capacity”.
“Your travails in the hands of APC is absolutely unnecessary and unfortunate. But for your determination and vigor and the vociferous support of MRS AISHA BUHARI and a few others, the last Presidential election might have turned out different”.
“You’ve played your part gallantly as a loyal party man and should leave the rest to Allah… Many happy returns…”.
