President Bola Tinubu has approved the reconstitution of the Executive Management of 12 River Basin Development Authorities under the Federal Ministry of Water Resources.
This was disclosed in a press statement released by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, on Wednesday.
The Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority, based in Abeokuta, covers Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, and Osun States. The new appointments include Hon. Odebunmi Olusegun as Chairman (Oyo), Engr. Dr. Adedeji Ashiru as Managing Director (Osun), Ayo Oyalowo as Executive Director, Finance (Oyo), Dokunmu Olufemi Oyekunle as Executive Director, Planning and Design (Ogun), Suleiman Oris as Executive Director, Agric Services (Lagos), and Engr. Julius Oloro as Executive Director, Engineering (Lagos).
The Upper Benue River Basin Development Authority in Yola, which serves Adamawa, Taraba, Gombe, and Bauchi States, now has Alh. Sanusi Mohammed Babantanko as Chairman (Bauchi), Samuel Mahmud Mohammed as Managing Director (Taraba), Hon. Usman Babandubu Bakare as Executive Director, Engineering (Taraba), Ibrahim Dasuki Jalo as Executive Director, Finance (Gombe), Hon. Isa Matori as Executive Director, Planning and Design (Bauchi), and Hamman Dikko as Executive Director, Agric Services (Adamawa).
At the Chad Basin Development Authority, headquartered in Maiduguri, covering Borno, Yobe, and Adamawa States, Prof. Abdu Dauda has been appointed as Chairman (Borno); Tijjani Musa Tumsa as Managing Director (Yobe); Barr. Bashir Baale as Executive Director, Finance (Yobe); Iliyasu Muazu as Executive Director, Agric Services (Adamawa); Engr. Mohammed Shetima as Executive Director, Engineering (Borno); and Vrati Nzonzo as Executive Director, Planning and Design (Borno).
For the Benin-Owena Development Authority, which oversees Edo, Delta North, Ondo, and Ekiti States, Hon. Mike Ohio Ezomo has been appointed Chairman (Edo), Femi Adekanbi as Managing Director (Ondo), Dr. Austin Nonyelim Izagbo as Executive Director, Planning and Design (Delta), Hon. Johnson Oghuma as Executive Director, Agric Services (Edo), Adegboyega Bamisile as Executive Director, Finance (Ekiti), and Bayode Akinduro as Executive Director, Engineering (Ondo).
The Niger Delta Basin Development Authority, covering Rivers, Bayelsa, and parts of Delta States, now has Chief (Barr.) Ebikemi Boi Bosin as Chairman (Delta); Hon. Amgbare Ebitimi as Managing Director (Bayelsa); Chief Mary Alagoa as Executive Director, Finance (Rivers); Dr. Austin N. Izagbo as Executive Director, Engineering (Delta); Felix Kurogha as Executive Director, Agric Services (Bayelsa); and Barr. (Dr.) Nnamdi Akani as Executive Director, Planning and Design (Rivers).
The Upper Niger River Basin Development Authority in Minna, which includes Niger, Kaduna, and the Federal Capital Territory, now has Haruna Y. Usman as Chairman (Niger); Dangajere Shuaibu Bawa Jaja as Managing Director (Kaduna); Mohammed Usma as Executive Director, Finance (Niger); Dr. Abdullahi A. Kutso as Executive Director, Planning and Design (Niger); Ayuba Waziri Tedde as Executive Director, Agric Services (FCT); and John Hassan as Executive Director, Engineering (Kaduna).
The Lower Niger River Basin Development Authority in Ilorin, which serves Kwara and Kogi States, now has Alh. Abdullateef Alakawa as Chairman (Kwara); Engr. George Olumoroti as Managing Director (Kogi); Engr. Babajamu Adeniran as Executive Director, Engineering (Kwara); Hon. Abdullahi Sadiq as Executive Director, Agric Services (Kogi); Engr. Alanamu Ayinla Abolere as Executive Director, Planning and Design (Kwara); and Hon. Abidemi Adeyemi as Executive Director, Finance (Kogi).
For the Lower Benue River Basin Development Authority in Makurdi, which covers Benue, Plateau, Nasarawa, and Kogi States, Dr. Amos Gizo Yadukso has been appointed Chairman (Plateau); Engr. Ninga Terese as Managing Director (Benue); Chief Chris Takar as Executive Director, Engineering (Benue); Hon. Yusuf Omaaki as Executive Director, Finance (Nasarawa); Hon. Hassan Omale as Executive Director, Agric Services (Kogi); and Okibe Timothy Ogomola as Executive Director, Planning and Design (Benue).
The Anambra-Imo River Basin Development Authority in Owerri, which covers Anambra, Imo, Enugu, Abia, and Ebonyi States, now has Senator Emmanuel Anosike as Chairman (Anambra); Rt. Hon. Emeka Nduka as Managing Director (Imo); Nwebonyi Priscilla Nkechi as Executive Director, Finance (Ebonyi); Hon. Evaristus Asadu as Executive Director, Engineering (Enugu); Barrister Onukwubiri N. Ojigwe as Executive Director, Agric Services (Abia); and Barr. Abigail Igwe as Executive Director, Planning and Design (Anambra).
The Hadejia Jamaere River Basin Development Authority in Kano, covering Kano, Jigawa, and Bauchi States, now has Mamman Da’u Aliyu as Chairman (Jigawa); Engr. Rabiu Suleiman Bichi as Managing Director (Kano); Tijjani Musa Isa as Executive Director, Planning and Design (Jigawa); Hajiya Zainab Gamawa as Executive Director, Agric Services (Bauchi); Baffa Dandatti Abdulkadir as Executive Director, Engineering (Kano); and Hon. The Cross River Basin Development Authority, covering Cross River and Akwa Ibom States, now has Mr. Wabilly Nyiam as Chairman (Cross River); Glory Ekpo Oho as Managing Director (Akwa Ibom); Effiwatt Otu Eyo as Executive Director, Finance (Cross River); Ebiere Etuk Udoh as Executive Director, Agric Services (Akwa Ibom); Engr. The Sokoto Rima Basin Development Authority, covering Sokoto, Kebbi, Zamfara, and Katsina States, now has Hon. Bello Yahaya Wurno as Chairman (Sokoto); Abubakar Mallam as Managing Director (Kebbi); Kabiru Ladan Maigoro as Executive Director, Planning and Design (Zamfara); Abubakar Ibrahim as Executive Director, Finance (Katsina); Muttaka Badaru Jikamshi as Executive Director, Agric Services (Katsina); and Mansur Aminu as Executive Director, Engineering (Zamfara).
