Veteran actor, Dayo Adewunmi, popularly known as Sule Suebebe, has been feared dead.

The Yoruba top actor, who had been bedridden for months reportedly died in the early hours of Wednesday at an undisclosed hospital in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

The news of his demise was announced by a popular Ibadan-based cleric, Pastor Ademola Amusan, a.k.a. Agbala Gabriel, in whose care the late thespian had been for some months.

Announcing Suebebe’s death, Agbala Gabriel wrote on social media: “It’s a pity, Baba Suebebe died at hospital this morning. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.”

The Nation reported in 2023,the late actor appealed to Nigerians for forgiveness over his reckless lifestyle when he was younger and sought financial assistance on social media to foot his medical bills.

Following this plea, some of his colleagues reportedly took him to a hospital, where he was set to undergo surgery for an undisclosed illness. Efforts seeking support for the actor were led and coordinated by the Agbala Gabriel pastor.

While seeking assistance from the public, the actor said he has been in the Yoruba movie industry for decades without any achievement.

He noted that he had no house or car and reiterated that he lived in poverty.
