Nigerian singer Ayra Starr has become the first African artist to headline a halftime show at an NFL International Game.
The singer performed at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on Sunday, October 11, 2026, during the break in the game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Jacksonville Jaguars.
Ayra Starr entertained the crowd with performances of her songs Rush and Heaven Baby on a temporary stage set up at the centre of the pitch.
Her appearance brought Afrobeats to the international sporting event, marking a milestone for Nigerian music on the NFL stage.
Her appearance marks another milestone for African music, as the NFL continues to expand its international presence through regular-season games staged outside the United States.
The performance also adds to Ayra Starr’s growing international profile, placing her among the African entertainers bringing Afrobeats to audiences beyond the continent.
