The Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention said the Republic of Rwanda has confirmed 27 cases of Marburg Virus Disease and nine deaths as of September 30, 2024. Okun Ajah Community in Eti-Osa Local Government Area of Lagos State has has raised alarm over alleged illegal diversion of the ongoing Lagos-Calabar Highway through their community by some officials of the Federal and State government agencies. A new report by the Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative has indicated that Nigeria lost 362.28 million barrels of crude oil due to measurement errors, sabotage, and production adjustments between 2014 and 2023.
