The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released the final register of voters for the upcoming governorship elections in Edo and Ondo, an official has said. The National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee in the state, Mr Sam Olumekun, disclosed this in a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday. The statement showed that Edo has 2,629,025, while Ondo has 2,053,061. Olumekun stated that the final registers were approved at the meeting of the commission in Abuja. The Ekiti State Police Command has apprehended one Omowaye Ayodele popularly known as Baba Ogbon, over the death of the former deputy vice chancellor of Ekiti State University (EKSU), Professor Oluwafemi Olaofe. This was contained in a statement made available to journalists by the public relations officer of the command, DSP Sunday Abutu.
