Lawyer and human rights activist, Deji Adeyanju says President Bola Tinubu was wrongly advised on the state of emergency declared on Rivers State.

In a post on his Facebook page, Adeyanju says the president is operating like a military ruler and civilised nations such as the United States, United Kingdom and others are perplexed by his style of governance.

“The Tinubu administration is giving military vibes. Is this not suppose to be a democracy? I think President Tinubu is continually been wrongly advised. Even the United States and others will be looking at him like what’s wrong with this guy!”

In another post, Adeyanju described the suspension of Governor Siminalayi Fubara as illegal, saying President Tinubu lacks such power.

“President Tinubu cannot suspend or remove an elected state governor or members of a state house of assembly by a press broadcast as he has no such powers. He acted like a dictator by doing so & now using the military to eject a democratically elected governor from govt house is even worse”.
