A former Minister of Aviation, Osita Chidoka has described his experience in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda as ‘unbelievable’, owing to how clean the streets are.

Chidoka, who posted a video of himself on social media while jogging in the city said it was his first time in Kigali and he was very impressed by the level of cleanliness in the city.

The former Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) said for the first time in his life, he was afraid to spit on the street because of the level of cleanliness of the environment.

He also admitted that being clean has nothing to do with economic status.

“Living in Kigali is an experience. Hilly, clean, fresh air. Unbelievable. For the first time in my life, I was afraid to spit on the street, looking at how clean the environment is. This is Kigali. It is my first time here and I am impressed, super-impressed”.

“I have seen that cleanliness has nothing to do with economic status. I ran through a poor neighbourhood, the place was clean, sparkling clean. The houses were one-bedroom apartment, very small houses”.

However, some Nigerians who commented on Chidoka’s video have criticised him for being among the leaders who messed up Nigeria.

A Facebook user, Joel Ajaegbu wrote “ For the first time in your life, you are afraid to spit. That means you have been spitting on Nigerian roads. God will judge you and other leaders who made the country as terrible as it is”.

Chibunna Shed Izunwa wrote “You are seeing all these things in Rwanda but when you come back to Nigeria you’ll shut your mouth”.

Ngwoke Kenneth Kizito wrote “Wish you were able to enforce helmet for motorcyclists in your time as corps marshal rather than extort them to buy the FRSC helmet and look away after few months. It’s shameful how some of you who have held offices in Nigeria without a remarkable achievement appreciate developments in another country. Not surprised u re looking for Facebook money”.

Afolabi Babatunde wrote “Sir, did you find time to check on the altitude and patriotism of the people towards their country?..I think u need to look into that part also to make a complete sense of your story…radarada..do they abuse and insult their own country like most of do ?..do they wish other tribe downfall and speak unprintable words to other tribes ..pls Mr Ostia fact check also”.
