Popular American rapper Nicki Minaj encountered trouble during her travels to Manchester for a scheduled performance at Co-op Live, when she was arrested at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport in the Netherlands.

Nicki Minaj took to her X account on Saturday, May 25, to share updates on the situation. She revealed in a series of tweets that the police allegedly found ‘weed’ in her luggage during a customs check at the airport.

In a video shared by Nicki Minaj, airport officials can be seen searching her belongings. She expressed her belief that the incident was orchestrated by her adversaries, accusing them of using the police to disrupt her Pink Friday World Tour and her show in Manchester.

Nicki Minaj wrote on Twitter: “They’re being paid big money to try to sabotage my tour b/c soooooo many people are mad that it’s this successful & they can’t eat off me. They got caught stealing money from my travel jets. Got Fired. Got mad. Etc.”

Shortly after, she also pointed out that Amsterdam, where the incident occurred, has legalized weed.

“This is Amsterdam where weed is legal,” Nicki posted.

An hour later, Nicki reiterated the police’s claim about finding weed in her luggage, stating: “Now they said they found weed & that another group of people have to come here to weigh the pre-rolls. Keep in mind they took my bags without my consent. My security has already advised them those pre-rolls belong to the. Oh yeah, & the pilot wants me to take my IG post down.”
