2023: Kwankwaso’s Endorsement Of Tinubu Is Still Haunting Him Till Today – Buba Galadima

Alhaji Buba Galadima, a chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), says Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 elections committed a mistake by declaring support for President Bola Tinubu, who was candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

In July 2022, Kwankwaso had declared that he will support Tinubu to win the 2023 Presidential Elections if he senses he cannot get it.

Speaking on Arise TV, Galadima said though Kwankwaso made the statement innocently, many Nigerians, especially journalists believe that he is currently working for Tinubu.

Galadima who said that statement is still ‘following’ Kwankwaso till this very moment, however said Kwankwaso cannot be working for the president based on how Tinubu has been working to cripple the NNPP in Kano state.

“I don’t want to commit the mistake that our principal (Kwankwaso) has done which has followed him till tomorrow and you people keep on talking. When he was asked that if you are not going to be president, who would you support? That time, he innocently said ‘if I am not going to be one, I will support Tinubu’.

“Up till now, you the press keep reminding him that he is working for Tinubu. If Kwankwaso is working for Tinubu, you people should be complaining of what Tinubu is doing to our party in Kano”.

Galadima also rejected the claims that NNPP is a regional party, saying it has influence all over the country.

“We have influence all over. We have an office in Lagos. We have people in Lagos. The mere fact that they are not in majority does not mean that we don’t have that influence.”
