Monday Okpebholo, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has emerged victorious in the Edo State governorship election held on Saturday. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) said Okpebholo, having satisfied all conditions and scored the highest number of votes, won the election. The Department of State Service (DSS) has confirm freeing about six persons they detained after they participated in the recent protest over hunger and hardship in the country. According to security sources, who spoke to Vanguard, the six persons were freed last Thursday in Kaduna on the orders of the Director General of the DSS, Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi.
