The new Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa has abolished the 18-year admission benchmark into tertiary institutions in the country. This is as he hinted on the possibility of his administration to review the nation’s education policy. The Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) has confirmed the deactivation of the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS) for Federal Tertiary Institutions (FTIs). This decision comes in light of the Federal Government’s directive to remove these institutions from the IPPIS platform.
