In what could be a big slap in the face of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), newly appointed Super Eagles head coach, Bruno Labbadia has turned down the job of the senior national team.
Recall that earlier this week, it was announced that the German tactician has been appointed to replace Finidi George.
However, Thescrutinyng learnt that Labbadia has rejected the role just days before the Super Eagles clash against Benin and Rwanda in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
It was also gathered that the NFF reportedly failed to reach a contractual agreement with the former Germany international striker before making the announcement.
The technical director of the NFF, Austin Eguavoen, could now take charge of the team for both games.
